One thing I did like -- the Career Resource section included a list of the 15 most important questions in an interview, and how you should answer them. (I will admit to being sunk by answering the "what are your weaknesses" question very honestly, but by the time this question was asked I had already decided that I really didn't want to be considered for the job.)

...normally I avoid lists done by individuals, but this individual is an employee of the Louisiana Department of Social Services. What he has done is compile a list of links to employers for the New Orleans area. They aren't in any particular order, but it's a decent list for anyone targeting this area.

Registration just takes an email address, password, current area of interest, and "how did you hear about us?". This site is operated by WorkMetro, an operator of several local US job boards. Each is run in partnership with a local media organization, and unlike some "local" sites run by a single entity, they truly keep the boards local.

Employers will appreciate the ability to upload jobs here and also inform the local Dept. of Labor of openings.
