You can also use their Career Finder to help you find the best work for you based on you interests and skills. And, for those of you who already know what you want to do, there's advice on planning your education, starting as early as the 8th grade.
- Medical Career Info
- ...it isn't new information, but it is all collected into a central location that is
easy to read. This site was compiled by a nurse and several young adults
interested in healthcare professions. The text is from the Occupational Outlook
Handbook, and there are some big omissions (like M.D.), but most of the
professions collected here do not require education / training beyond a
bachelor's degree (note that I said "most"). Many do not require education /
training beyond a 2-year degree, which makes this a good list for some who
are considering this field but are unsure of how much they'd like to invest in
or who are considering career changes that do not require a major investment
in a bachelors or masters degree.
- NIH Virtual Career Center
- ...information on careers in healthcare & medicine, employment resources, and
financial aid and funding resources for persons interested in pursuing a career in medicine
or a related field.

You can quickly choose a specialty to review all listings in that field or search by location, employer, or job title. Registration is not necessary to view job listings nor submit applications but it will make the process
easier. They also have a lot of good career information here.
- All Hospital Jobs.com
- ...nice, simple site for finding jobs in hospitals across the US. Yes, you can try the Google search box, but I much prefer to select my target state then browse the list of hospitals. You can connect to the website of each, the job listings (if they post online), or just write down the contact address / phone and submit a resume or CV the old fashioned way.
- Atlas Medical International
- ..."executive search and jobs for nurses, physicians, allied health, and other health professionals." Jobs cover North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia, but at the time of review the vast majority were in the Middle East. Merely scroll down the front page for the best view of the listings by job category. You will be required to register and submit a resume in Word in order to apply for any of the openings listed here, but you can look at the listings without registering.
- CenterWatch JobWatch
- ..."a career and educational forum for the clinical trials industry." Users can review
jobs in a variety of positions within this industry, from biostatisticians to doctors
to project managers to regulatory affairs. Listings cover the US, Canada, and
International. Users can register a free profile in the resume database. Confidentiality
settings are available. You can also register to receive notices when new announcements
in your field are posted, and this is not tied to your online resume. JobWatch also offers
other good resources for this industry, including a list of recruiters who specialize in
placements within this industry.
- CompHealth
- CompHealth,"the nation's largest comprehensive healthcare recruiting and staffing
company", provides placement services for physicians, nurses, allied healthcare

Healthcare Professionals) to review permanent positions or temporary assignments.

database. Try searching the main a few times to get a feel for the entire site before
concentrating on the niches.
- HealthCareSource
- ...jobs in the healthcare industry, links to licensing and professional associations.
- HealthCareerNet
- ...aggregator of health jobs listed all over the Internet. Not my favorite way to view them. I suggest Browsing by Profession or Browsing by State rather than using the search box. They also operate a UK-focused site.
- Health Management Career Center
from the Health Intelligence Network
- "...brings together qualified healthcare management professionals seeking new career
opportunities and healthcare organizations that are seeking to fill health management
positions within their companies." This is not the best site I have ever seen, but
I am listing it because of the field covered. Job seekers who want to review jobs
listed should be wary of the fact that no dates of posting nor application dates appear
here, and I can't find anything to tell employers how long jobs will appear once listed.
You may need to contact the employer / poster to see if the position is still open.
- HealthCareRecruitment
- ..jobs in all areas of health care, including administration
and management. Lots of postings for nurses and health care technicians.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada. Select a target location
to see what is available. They link to additional info so you know more about the
country and tell you what education, certification, and experience is necessary
in order to qualify for the positions. The front page takes a long time to load.
Just be patient.
- Hospital Jobs Online
- ...site for jobs in healthcare and medicine. Free registration is required in order to
search the jobs database, but the privacy policy looks good and registration does
not mean "post your resume". The Career Center, Directories, and Links are
accessible by anyone, and several hospitals have advertisements which link to
their own websites (and job listings).
- JobScience.com
- ... "provides healthcare professionals a forum for discovering new career opportunities
by identifying open positions among America's premier health providers and research companies." Browse jobs by industry (biotech/pharmaceuticals, healthcare, medical device/diagnostics) or
search by keyword. You can also opt for one of the fields listed
on the front page and limit your search to that area. My only complaint is you must
register in order to apply for any jobs found here, but I saw some very good jobs
when I searched the database.
- MedHunters
- ...lists jobs for health care professionals in a variety of settings all around the world. Select from Nursing, MD, Allied Health, or Other positions to browse the list of job fields, or scroll down each page to browse the same list of positions by location or Lifestyle (Sun, Snow, Mountains, Rural, etc.). - MediLexicon
- ...formerly called PharmaLexicon, this site has expanded to cover more

The listings can be searched by specialty alone, so you do not need to fill in the entire form to access the jobs here nor forward your CV in response to a listing but they would like to know about you so they can contact you with new or unadvertised positions. It is a nice site with very good listings.
- Preferred Healthcare
- ...placement firm operating in the US and Canada and assisting nurses, therapists,
and medical technicians to find positions. At the time of review, we did not see
any public listings for anyone except nurses, but that doesn't mean they don't have
any. Initial contact does not require you to submit a resume.
